About Us

Formed by a group of students passionate about serving the community, StringLink provides a platform for the transaction of instruments that benefits both the donors and the receivers. We hope to use music as the link between people of different backgrounds in the community and spread the beauty of music to the society.
Our Mission
As famous novelist Sarah Dessen writes, "Music is the great uniter. An incredible force. Something that people who differ on everything and anything else can have in common."
StringLink, as its name suggests, hopes to give back to the society by recycling idle musical instruments and donating them to the needy. StringLink also hopes to promote the notion of giving musical instruments their second life after they're no longer needed by their original owners, which is also an act of environmental friendliness.

Music is the literature of the heart - where words end, music speaks. Here at StringLink, we are not only interested in serving the underprivileged music community, but also in the psychology behind how our heartstrings connect through musical performance and expression. Therefore, we aim to provide a unique platform for academic discussion on psychology which bridges the gap of understanding between our emotions and auditory enjoyment.
